ONIDA is a Nuremberg-based singer-songwriter and producer working at the intersection of experimental electronic music and alternative R&B.
Her sound pairs driving, unconventional rhythms with shape-shifting vocals and intricate sonic textures. Moving between club-driven energy and emotional complexity, her music is visceral, distinctive and open to disruption.
With her debut album Blue Light Nights (2025), the Nuremberg-based singer-songwriter and producer established a sonic world of her own.
Her second album, Shushed (2027), expands that world through an exploration of self-imposed silence, external expectations and emancipation through expression. It is a search for one's roots and for a voice that can grow louder without having to grow harder.
SHUSHED
With Shushed, ONIDA pushes the sound of her debut album, Blue Light Nights, into new territory. Moving between alternative R&B, ambient soul, experimental jazz, spoken word and electronic music, the Nuremberg-based singer-songwriter and producer combines weighty basslines, disruptive rhythms and suspended textures with shape-shifting soul vocals.
Her musical approach refuses to follow predefined rules. “If I’m meditating, for example, why not do it to heavy basslines that get me moving? Who decided I have to sit still to do that?” ONIDA asks. This desire to bring seemingly opposing elements together shapes the sound of Shushed: meditative expansiveness meets physical intensity, while soft, floating textures collide with rhythms that throw you off balance.
Thematically, Shushed explores the boundary between choosing silence and being silenced by others. The album examines people-pleasing, external projections and the process of reclaiming one’s voice.

With her debut EP valiant (meaning “brave”), ONIDA invites us into her own intimate world of thoughts, engaging in a dialogue with herself and the world around her. “Show your bravery, ’cause it’s been far too long, since we’ve been stuck in distress. You’re valiant! You’re valiant!” goes the chorus of the title track and single, “valiant”.
Embracing vulnerability and courage at the same time, facing fears with bravery, and living an authentic truth: this is ONIDAs call to herself and her listeners. These qualities are also woven into her sound: driving basslines, groovy 808 beats, and her powerful, soulful voice carry listeners through a landscape of melancholic strength and danceable tenderness.
